How Tinkan works
- Open the app and sign in with your phone number.
- Drop a pin and choose a time window to create an event.
- Share the 5-letter event code with anyone who was there.
- They open the link or tap the code in the app. Tinkan checks their camera roll for photos that match the event's place and time, and they pick which ones to send.
Common questions
Why does Tinkan ask for camera roll access?
So it can show your friends which of their photos match the event's location and time. The matching happens on the device. Photos only upload when a friend taps Send.
Why does it need my location?
To drop the event pin where you are. You can also drop a pin manually on the map.
I didn't get my sign-in code.
Wait 30 seconds and tap "Resend." If it still doesn't arrive, check the number is correct and that your carrier accepts SMS short codes. If you're still stuck, email jon@t3ch.net.
How do I delete my account?
Email jon@t3ch.net from the address on your account, or include your phone number, and we'll delete your account and any associated data.
