Child Safety Standards
Last updated: May 4, 2026
Tinkan is committed to protecting children from sexual abuse and exploitation. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any content or behaviour that exploits or endangers children. This page describes the standards we hold ourselves and our users to, and how to report concerns.
Prohibited content and conduct
The following are strictly prohibited on Tinkan:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind, including images, videos, drawings, text, or generated content depicting minors in a sexual context.
- Grooming, sexual solicitation of minors, or any communication aimed at sexually exploiting a child.
- Sharing personal information of a minor in a way that could put them at risk.
- Any other content or conduct that endangers a child's safety.
Accounts that violate these standards are removed, the offending content is preserved as required by law, and reports are escalated to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant national or regional authorities.
How we prevent abuse
- Phone-verified accounts. Every account is tied to a verified phone number, which deters anonymous abuse and gives us a durable identifier when working with law enforcement.
- Closed events. Tinkan has no public feed, follower graph, or discovery surface. Photos only flow into a specific event that someone was invited to, which limits exposure to strangers.
- Host moderation. Event hosts can remove any photo from their event and revoke access for any guest at any time.
- Direct reporting channel. Anyone — guest, host, or third party — can report content or an account by emailing report@tinkan.app. We are working on adding an in-app report control in a future release.
- Human review. Reports of CSAM or child-safety concerns are reviewed promptly and prioritised over all other moderation work.
Reporting child-safety concerns
If you see content or behaviour on Tinkan that may harm a child, please report it immediately by emailing report@tinkan.app. Include a description of the content or account and, if possible, the event code. Mark the subject line "CHILD SAFETY" so it is triaged ahead of regular support.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
Reporting to authorities
Tinkan complies with all applicable child-safety laws in the regions we operate. When we identify or are notified of suspected CSAM, we report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) via the CyberTipline and cooperate with law-enforcement requests in line with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
You can also report directly:
- NCMEC CyberTipline (US and international): report.cybertip.org
- INHOPE network of national hotlines: inhope.org
